Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy American actress. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed performances of charming, naive people. Adams was born in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she was raised in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. In the late 1990s, she started to act and dance professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined the regional theater located in Minnesota where she was cast in a mock documentary film about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Leigh began her filming career when she signed an MGM contract in the late 1940s. She was discovered through actress Norma Shearer. Through the years that followed, she appeared in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
