Jessie James, her moniker for her album that she dropped with that title at the end of August, 2009 was her own self-titled. Jessie James was reasonably successful and included Wanted an album track that made it to into the Top 40 of the singles charts. Although Decker had always considered herself as a singer from the country genre, the album was made and promoted using a popular audience in minds. The music of Decker came under more attention after the launch of two songs. The following track, Boys in the Summer was a country-inspired track. Decker's sophomore album, which was announced under the title Daughter of a Gypsy or Sweet American Dreams was shelved by Mercury and, after the release of three singles failed on the country charts Decker was let go of her contract.
