The date of her birth is March 29th, 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parentage Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). Her heritage is Mexican American however she has an American citizenship. Gerina has always been a fan of sports. Gerina began to play golf when she was fifteen. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. The school won her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament at the age of high school. She was also a volleyball player and competed on the level of state. In 2003, she started studying in the University of Texas. She took home all the tournaments she played in during her senior year. In her undergraduate professional career, she took home an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year and Female UTEP athlete of the Year.
