Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who would become Comaneci's coach in later years found her around the age of six. Her first competition was in the national junior championships which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. At her first international contest in 1972, she took the top spot having won three golds. In her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion who won four golds and a silver. She was the first woman to perform a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows were ice skating performances that were followed by musical performances.
